The fabric is woven from soft polyester with a smooth micro-mink finish on the front. It feels gentle against small chins while keeping pureed carrots and applesauce from soaking straight through to the clothes.

A wide hook and loop closure at the back of the neck fastens with a quick press. It pulls apart fast when supper is finished and hands are messy.
