Lap Table

A soft beanbag cushion underneath settles across the knees and stays put while someone works on a crossword or eats supper by the television. The hard plastic top gives stiff fingers a flat spot to write or rest a book. We have kept this handy lap tray in the Miles Kimball pages for folks who spend their afternoons in the good armchair.

Form-fitting beanbag base

The polyester fabric underside fills with soft beads that shape themselves over a lap. It settles evenly without sliding around, whether someone sits upright in a wooden rocker or leans back in the recliner.

Wipe-clean hard top

The smooth plastic tray gives a solid surface for writing notes, sorting cards, or resting a dinner plate. Crumbs wipe away with a damp kitchen cloth, and the durable board will not bend under pressure.

Raised spill rim

A molded lip runs along the entire outer edge of the tray. If a glass tips or soup sloshes on the way to the chair, the raised border keeps liquid from running off onto a blanket.

Built-in cup holder

A deep circular well in the corner holds a drinking tumbler, mug, or water bottle upright. It keeps drinks within reach so hands do not have to stretch across to an end table.
