Takes a name: Yes, this one can be lettered

A brass cloud holds a sleeping cherub above three dangling discs that record the whole story of that winter morning. Grandparents hang this on the bough where the needles catch the light. Miles Kimball has carried brass holiday keepsakes for generations of growing families.

Solid brass shine

The piece is cut from solid brass with a warm polished gleam that reflects the colored bulbs on the tree. It tucks away in tissue paper once the season ends and comes out bright again next winter.

Four places for lettering

The cloud holds two lines of lettering across the front for a full name. Three round discs swing underneath, each engraved with the birth date, the arrival time, or the weight from the hospital card.

For parents and grandparents

A godmother or aunt chooses this for new parents, or sends one to the proud grandparents across the state. It marks the first December in a nursery without taking up room on a crowded dresser.

Hanging on the bough

A slender loop holds the top steady between pine twigs. Add your own green wire hook or a scrap of red satin ribbon through the top loop to match the rest of the branch.
